Walking the Three-Temples loop in Kandy

Kandy left a good impression: the city (with its lake and market) is nice to visit and there’s a lovely walk you can take between three of the local temples. We took the bus to Embekke Devale and figured out our way (with some local help) to Lankathilake and then Gadaladeniya. The second one was my favourite: it has beautiful wall paintings and it also has a great view over the surrounding fields.

• Transport: We arrived in Kandy by train from Colombo.
• Stay: In Kandy we stayed at the nicest guesthouse, Kandy View Villa, where the hosts prepared some super delicious local meals for us.
• Things to do: Visit the town and walk the Three-Temples loop.
• Food: Try to eat your guesthouse 🙂
