Diving to World War II wrecks in Coron

The reason why we came to the Philippines was mostly to dive, dive and dive. We had just gotten our Open Water certification a few months earlier in Labuan Bajo, Indonesia and we were eager to put it to good use. Coron and its wrecks from World War II was first on our itinerary. The town itself is quite small but lovely to stay at and stroll through.

• Transport: We took the overnight boat from Manila to Coron.
• Stay: We stayed the very simple, but friendly Marleys Guesthouse.
• Things to do: Go diving! The Rocksteady Diving Center is great.
• Food: Great pizza’s at Corto Del Mar, Coffee Kong for afternoon coffee and delicious fish at Sinugba sa Balay.
