The majestic Taj Mahal

Yet another place that doesn’t need a lot of introduction. It looks like a fata morgana doesn’t it? Even when you’re standing right in front of the Taj Mahal, it feels like staring at a picture: it is just that perfect.

We didn’t meet a whole lot of tourists in India, but at the Taj the whole world gathered together to look in awe.

They say it’s a monument of love: Shah Jahan, the fifth ruler of the Mughal Empire, built it for his wife. I personally wouldn’t be that thrilled if my boyfriend gave me my own grave as a present, and supposedly chopped off the hands of the men who made it.
